 The keeper of Lost things
By Ruth Hogan

My rating: ★★★★☆
Goodreads: 3.8/5
Genre: Modern and contemporary fiction

This was Ruth Hogans debut novel, which was a Richard and Judy Book club pick. I believe that it was also a Goodreads choice award nominee for fiction (2017.)

Synopsis

Anthony Peardew, once an author, spends his life collecting lost objects, in the hope he can return them to their loved ones, he believed it was his calling, after loosing someone he loved and breaking a promise.
When Anthony dies he leaves his house and all its treasure to his housekeeper and assistant Laura,  entrusting her to fulfil his legacy and reunite the thousands of  collected objects to their rightful owners. It becomes her mission and helps to put right all the baggage she carries along with her.

My Review

The keeper of lost things is the 2nd book I've read by this author and I cannot wait to read another. Definitely an author I will be looking out for.
This book is full of emotions. From grief to happiness to love and surprising friendships. I was totally gripped and struggled to put it down.
You feel like you are taking each characters journey with them. You become apart of their lives and want Laura to succeed in her quest.
I found it was a predictable story but that just made it an enjoyable easy read.
If it had a twist i could not of predicted then I would of given it five stars.
