Book Review - Where Hope is Found by Rebecca L Marsh

Where Hope is Found by Rebecca L Marsh

My rating ★★★★★

This is Rebecca’s third novel, which is due to be published on 31st October 2020.

I was kindly given the wonderful opportunity to read where hope is found by the talented author Rebecca L Marsh, as a pre release in return for my honest review.

Synopsis

One tiny moment in time can shatter your whole world.

A family beach vacation turns to tragedy and Marissa must find a way for her and her traumatised eight-year-old daughter, Maisy, to move forward and heal. But memories of what she lost surround her, threatening to take her to a dark place; a place she can never go again.

When her brother extends an invitation for her and Maisy to move in with him on Princess Island, Marissa thinks it might just be the fresh start she needs. But can she really find hope and healing on an island surrounded by the same ocean that broke her heart?

My Review

Wow, what an amazing introduction to Rebecca's writing I have had. I struggled to put this book down and found myself going back to it throughout the day even if it meant I could only read a couple of pages at a time. It deserves every star that I have given it. (If I could give it more I would)

The whole story-line flowed at a nice steady pace, it was wonderfully written, constantly keeping you guessing as to what would happen next. Set on a beautiful island, that made me feel like I could live there and be apart of the close-knit community.

Rebecca portrayed all her characters perfectly. Each one had their own story, some had difficult back stories, some quite straight forward, all were lovable in their own ways. The book oozed Grief, love and family life struggles. You were drawn into the emotions, which at times had me reaching for the tissues.

Until now I had never heard of Rebecca L Marsh – but what a find!

I thoroughly enjoyed this captivating book and have added her two other novels to my buy list. (That only ever seems to get longer)

I am so looking forward to reading more from this author.
